Being newly diagnosed with a food allergy leads to a flurry of emotions and questions.Unfortunately, despite the many medical advances that have been achieved indiagnosing and managing food allergies, not all health providers are equally equipped to provide loved ones support and information they need at this critical time. This session is designed to help parents and caregivers of food allergic children receive the care they need by learning how to find the best health professionals, ask the right questions, and make the most out of a visit. The session will also reach out to nurses and other members of the health care team to encourage ways they can provide care that meets the needs of the entire family.
